PROWESS

Prowess is an association of organisations and individuals who support the growth of women's business ownership. Their work encompasses raising awareness, sharing of best practice, advocacy and information. Prowess has over 180 members who support 100,000 women each year to start 10,000 new businesses and is the UK- wide gateway to local women-friendly business support.

Incredit

Specialises in enterprise development, training and on-going business support for individuals and groups from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities. Ethos is to encourage and facilitate the personal growth of the individual in conjunction with the growth of their business idea, its development and sustainability. The Incredit programme of workshops allows each person to fully investigate their own personal potential and aspirations towards enterprise as a means to becoming financially independent, by integrating business skills training, personal development, life management skills and access to micro-finance.

Their client groups cover a broad sweep of those facing the biggest barriers to success in enterprise: support for women in business, young people, people from black and minority ethnic communities, people with disabilities, social enterprises, offenders and ex-offenders.
