aims and objectives

Women Into the Network is an initiative which assists the integration of women entrepreneurs, both aspiring and practising, into existing business networks. There is a clear opportunity for women to take advantage of the broad range of support available to them, but many are unable to overcome the barriers that arise. Open to men and women, WIN supports the creation and management of businesses by women, through addressing & overcoming these barriers.

Specifically, the project:
  • Catalogues and builds upon existing network provision
  • Provides networking events and workshops that give women much needed rehearsal space
  • Promotes achievable and inspirational role models
  • Disseminates information to members through publications and online resources
  • Raises the profile of women's business needs & lobby on their behalf
  • Increases the awareness of members to the availability of support and development networks both regionally and nationally
  • Enables members to gain access to skills development, potential clients and suppliers via experience exchange
  • Expands on existing research investigating gender issues concerning entrepreneurship
  • Undertakes research including women in technology and women leading high technology based companies
  • Reviews best practice and disseminates this knowledge throughout the network and the business support sector

Member-driven, member-focussed

The member-driven focus of the organisation will ensure that the events and campaigns are those seen as most important by our members. Continuous research by our team and feedback from our members ensures that we deliver a service that is tailored to your needs.

WIN recognise that we do not work in isolation and we are only as successful as the wonderful women we have in the region - the entrepreneurs of today and of the future.
